I have tried to translate the emotions expressed in a previous post "स्त्री" in english for global readers... Hope I have been able to do justice to the emotions expressed although the volatility & intensity of expression may differ!
A woman's a Wife, a woman's Mother,
A woman's a Sister, a woman's a Daughter,
Beyond these roles every woman is a separate entity,
Why is it that they can't appreciate her unique identity??
The materialistic fill their coffers with dowry,
Still can't love 'n cherish the woman they marry,
Pledging to love, cherish 'n hold her at all times,
Why do they then dishonour her existence for golden dimes??
Women's liberation, promoting equality with men,
Stinging words ripping her soul by so called gentlemen,
Female foeticide's irrational killing is just one exploitation,
Don't they commit atrocities life long on her for all damnation??
Ravishing bodies 'n minds of Daughters, Sisters, Wives alike,
Not hearing the silent but deafening screams of a woman's soul,
Abuse at home, office, school, college, is all women 've got,
Is that what fathers, husbands, brothers, sons, friends get taught??
Worshipped as a procreator, protector, a goddess incarnation,
Earth without women is barren, 'n so is essence of heaven's nation,
Incomplete is life on earth 'n unfulfilled is the illusion of heaven,
Isn't one's soul incomplete, every shadow unfulfilled without a woman??
Every man's soul's incomplete without a woman tender touch,
Feminine beauty's incomplete without a man to behold her as much,
Every man desires a woman's body 'n soul's complete surrender,
Why is he so hesitant to give himself as a supreme sacrifice to her??

Wow. This is fantastic. Power power power and passion peeling off each line. I am a feminist and am deeply compelled by women's rights world wide. Your voice is so significant. The words make me want to stand in the center of Bakersfield with a megaphone and read it to make people listen!
