यूँ बिसरी यादों से न पुकारो हमें 

के भुलाना मुश्किल हो जाए

यूँ ख़्वाबों में न पुकारो हमें 

के जागना मुश्किल हो जाए

यूँ आगोश में ले न जकड़ो हमें 

के जुदा होना मुश्किल हो जाए 

यूँ दिल-ओ-जाँ न अर्पण करो हमें

के तन्हा जीना मुश्किल हो जाए 

यूँ झुकी पलकों से न निहारो हमें 

के ओझल होना मुश्किल हो जाए 

यूँ बेबाक बेपनाही से न चाहो हमें 

के अक्स पहचानना मुश्किल हो जाए 

यूँ ढुलकते अश्कों में न ढूंढो हमें 

के आँखें मूंदना मुश्किल हो जाए

ज़माने के दायरों दफ़न गर पाओ हमें
