The Sea is calling me...

In solitary existence I begin to drift

Sounds of waves taking me adrift

Something's pulling me there

Not sure exactly why 'n where

Have a feeling I know the way

Just need to trust 'n not to stray

Need to believe 'm resilient 'n free 
I trudge along... Sensing the Sea calling me 

Smiling through my silent tears

Trying to conceal my gnawing fears

Shackles keep my hopes from soaring

Yet dreams urge me to go on swimming

Heart's nudging me to go there one day

All I need is courage to find the right way

Spirited 'n tenacious, not the one to tame

I push on... Believing the Sea is calling my name 

Afraid of losing myself 'n everything known

Blending in with tides is one thing I moan 

Thoughts linger like interrupted dreams

Blowing silently yet echoing screams

Relinquishing paths 'n treading unknown trails

Star spangled skies reflect what destiny entails

Trusting my heart 'n bracing the storm

I walk on as... The Sea is calling me... Home!!
