पाखंड

People have dreams and aspirations, and they work really hard to get there. While doing so they leave behind a trail of blood; sometimes its people they tread on... And worse, they get used to it... ...thinking that whatever they tread on are logs of wood, forgetting the fact that the same humans might strike back, someday! I read a couple of poems dedicated towards women and respect that they deserve and these were the thoughts that emerged in my mind...


दोस्ती का दामन सुर्ख कर चले वो... 
... ज़माने से कह रहे हैं "आपस-दारी दिल-ओ-जाँ से निभाया करो"

जज्बातों की कदर कर न सके वो...
... ज़माने से कह रहे हैं "नज़रों से यूँ उन्हें बेआबरू न करो"

दिल-खराश आह सुन न सके वो...
... ज़माने से कह रहे हैं "ज़न-ए-चीत्कार को नकारा न करो"

ज़हन को चीर मुस्कुराते रहे वो...
... ज़माने से कह रहे हैं "नाजों से पली है, यूँ बलात्कार न करो"

बेरहमी से रूह दफन कर चले वो...
... ज़माने से कह रहे हैं "सिंफ-ए-नाज़ुक को संजो कर रखो"

खामोशी को हमारी धमकाते रहे वो...
... ज़माने से कह रहे हैं "यूँ लब-ए-खामोश से न अजीयत सहो"

नकाब-ए-वफ़ाजू पहने हैं वो 
... ज़माने से कह रहे हैं "एहद-ए-वफ़ा को तवज्जू दिया करो"

क़त्ल-ए-वजूद कर फरार हुए वो  
... ज़माने से कह रहे हैं "कातिलों को सज़ा-ए-मौत का फरमान दो"


My query to the author: "Have you respected the women, respected their feelings, 'n relationships you shared with them, as much as you claim in your words? Haven't you ever tread upon their bodies, minds 'n souls, in a bid to achieve your personal pleasures 'n gains? Do you have the right to talk about righteousness and respecting women?"

"Silence is not the definition of 'Inability of Action'; Silence is a Decision!! And decisions can be changed, beyond the point where there is no more fear... Sometimes, a gentle reminder to the same people who tread, that we are the evidence of their walk of life... When women stop retaliating 'n go silent, it doesn't mean ignorance, it simply means ... A Simmering Dilemma - should I let go or not!?... ...Because vengeance is a dish that's best served cold!!"


Word of Advice: Preach, but also practice what you preach, else all words, after a point in time, will begin to sound hollow, even to your own self!!




पाखंड = hypocrisy, double dealing, imposture
आपस-दारी = Relationship, Fraternity 

दिल-खराश आह = Heart Rending Sigh
ज़न-ए-चीत्कार = Scream of a Woman

क़त्ल-ए-रूह = Killed the Soul

सिंफ-ए-नाज़ुक = Womankind
अजीयत = Torture
नकाब-ए-वफ़ाजू = Mask of being faithful in Love
एहद-ए-वफ़ा = Promise of Fidelity
तवज्जू = Importance
क़त्ल-ए-वजूद = Destroyed the existence
फरार = Escaped
